Heavy, decorative gates give many homes their character, but their weight is exactly what wears out an undersized motor, so gate automation in Lavington starts with respecting the gate you have.

Nerpax assesses the gate's weight, construction, hinges or track, and the driveway layout. Solid steel or timber-clad gates may need heavy-duty sliding motors or underground swing operators where visible arms would spoil the look. We fit the motor, safety photocells and battery backup, and programme remotes for family members and drivers.

Opening can also be linked to a video intercom, so whoever is at home can let in guests or deliveries without walking to the gate. Every installation is tested for smooth, safe operation before handover.

Gate Automation in Lavington: FAQs

Can a heavy decorative gate in Lavington be automated without visible arms?

Yes. Underground swing operators sit below the gate hinge and are hidden from view, which suits decorative gates. They need proper drainage, which we plan during installation. We confirm the hinge design and gate weight suit an underground unit before recommending one.

What if the gate motor fails while we are away?

Every motor has a manual release so a family member or guard can open the gate by hand. A backup battery covers normal outages. We also recommend servicing so wear is caught early. Remote status alerts can also be added on some controllers.
