Older office blocks and commercial buildings in the city centre often have distribution boards that have been extended over and over: mixed breakers, missing covers, no labels and cables joined inside the board. When something trips, nobody knows which circuit it was.

Nerpax does control panel installation in Nairobi CBD for landlords, building managers and tenants who need that sorted out properly. Typical jobs are replacing an overloaded single-phase board, installing a three-phase board for a growing business, adding sub-boards for each floor or tenant, and building changeover panels for generator or solar backup.

We survey the existing setup, assess the load, design a board with correctly rated protection and RCDs, and install it with every circuit labelled. Everything is tested before the supply is restored, and work follows the Kenyan wiring regulations.

If your board looks like a tangle of cables, book a site visit before it causes a fire or a long shutdown.

Serving Nairobi CBD

The Nairobi CBD is a dense grid of offices, banks, shops, hotels and older commercial buildings around Kenyatta Avenue, Moi Avenue and Tom Mboya Street. Many buildings carry decades of extensions and patch-up wiring, so rewiring, new distribution boards and fault finding are frequent jobs. Shop owners want CCTV that records clearly through busy hours and can be viewed remotely, while offices need access control on lifts and doors, plus UPS backup for servers and tills. Nerpax Systems supplies, installs and delivers equipment for buildings across the city centre.

Control Panel & DB Board Installation in Nairobi CBD: FAQs

Can you install separate sub-boards for each tenant in our building?

Yes. Each tenant gets their own sub-board with appropriate protection, fed from the main board, and we can add sub-meters if you need to split the electricity bill. Faults in one unit then stay in that unit instead of tripping the whole floor.

How long is the power off when you change a distribution board?

It depends on the size of the board and number of circuits. We prepare and pre-wire as much as possible beforehand, then schedule the changeover for a time agreed with you, such as an evening or weekend, so that business hours are not affected.
